A strong sense of history is an important factor at Marqués de Murrieta. Founded in 1852, it is without doubt one of Spain's most historic wineries. Vincente Cebrián, Count of Creixell purchased this estate from the Olivares family in 1983, and embarked on a long term project based on the clear business philosophy of a family company. Today the evolution of Marqués de Murrieta, and the Ygay estate, lies in the hands of the young Count of Creixell and his three sisters with the pursuit of quality and excellence, through tradition and innovation by a family dedicated to introducing their fine wines all over the world.
