Renowned winemaker and wine personality, Charles Back has become part of the Juno team in the form of an exciting new production partnership. All 2008 whites and 2007 reds and onwards – drawn from selected vineyards in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Darling – will be from this stable. Initially established in 2004 as a negociant by a group of friends, including the husband and wife team of Johan and artist Tertia du Toit, Juno has since become a popular and very visible winery, and its home, the Juno Winehouse & Art Studio, something of a Paarl landmark. All labels form an integral part of the character the bottled product, the images being derived from original oils on canvas, painted exclusively for Juno by Tertia. The playful elegance of the imagery exhibits the character of the wines themselves, creating an integrated visual meeting of the traditions of wine making and the sensual nature of wine.
